Sosua

Sosua may well be one of the most well known towns in the Dominican Republic, and deservedly so.  It has always been a favorite tourist destination because it is only 20 minutes or so from the Puerto Plata (POP) airport.  Imagine, leaving New York during the dead of winter and in a brief three hours you are toes deep in golden sand beaches surrounded by beautiful people, superb restaurants and truly astounding nightlife.

Sosua Real Estate

Sosua real estate is very popular because it is nearby the international airport while also being very accessible to the wealthy Dominicans who may live in Santo Domingo, Santiago and Puerto Plata.  Yet Sosua remains authentic to its roots from the large German-Jewish community upon which modern day Sosua was founded during WWII.  The Sosua real estate market remains vibrant thanks to many local developments as well as the ever popular gated community of Sea Horse Ranch.

When anyone along the north coast needs to go food shopping they head to Sosua.  The international community there has fostered some excellent supermarkets and specialty food stuff shops.  Anything you might need from Russian cuisine to baby back ribs are available in the markets of Sosua.  For anyone living there, it's truly paradise to be able to run down the road and get pretty much whatever you need.
